The Tech Golfer

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect very little.

Last updated 2 November 2026.

This policy covers thetechgolfer.co.uk. The site is run by Tom Armstrong, who is responsible for your data. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you.
  • Newsletter: your email address. We only add you after you confirm through the link we email you.
  • Server and security logs: technical details such as your IP address, kept to run and protect the site.

We don't sell your details. Our calculators remember your numbers in your own browser and never send them to us.

Who handles it for us

  • Brevo stores newsletter addresses and sends our emails.
  • Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
  • Our web host stores the site and contact messages.

Why we can use it

We rely on your consent for the newsletter and on our legitimate interest in replying to you and keeping the site secure. You can withdraw consent at any time: every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your question.

If you click through to a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network may set its own cookies. Their privacy policies apply from then on. Our cookie policy and affiliate disclosure explain more.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how we use them. Please contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
